Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema is set for at least a three-week lay-off, the club has said. The La Liga giants recently confirmed he suffered a hamstring injury on Tuesday in the UCL, and fans have been reacting.
According to a recent statement, Benzema has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle, and he is currently battling with an overload on the quadriceps.
The club added that they expect the Frenchman to be back on the pitch soon to continue from where he stopped.
It read, “He has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle and an overload on the quadriceps, both in the right thigh.”
