The Bishop of Remo Diocese, Anglican Communion, Olusina Fape, has cautioned Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State to seek divine guidance for a worthy successor as he approaches the end of his second term in office.
Bishop Fape delivered this message during a Thanksgiving Service held at the St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Area of the state, to celebrate Governor Abiodun’s recent victory at the Supreme Court.
In his sermon, the bishop urged the governor not to become complacent following his legal triumph. He encouraged Abiodun to stay focused and continue serving the people diligently during his remaining tenure.

While praying for the success of the governor’s second term, Bishop Fape emphasized the need for sustained dedication, reminding Abiodun that there is still much work to be done.
Responding to the bishop’s counsel, Governor Abiodun expressed relief that the legal battles were over and pledged to redouble his efforts in governance.
He described the period of litigation as a distraction but affirmed his commitment to leading Ogun State to greater achievements.
“As we have just three years and four months remaining in our term, we are determined to implement sustainable legacies that will create jobs, foster prosperity, and enhance the well-being of all our citizens,” Governor Abiodun stated.
