Beyonce and JayZReports have said Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Blue Ivy sat during the recitation of the National Anthem at the 54th Super Bowl as a form of silent protest, but the male rapper has come out to deny this.

Jay Z recently revealed that it was not a protest at all and he did not do what he did to send any sort of message.

According to him, Beyonce was telling him that she was thinking about what Demi Lovato must have been going through before she started the Anthem since she has performed at the Super Bowl before and he hasn’t.

The rapper shared that they reached their seats and just concentrated on Demi’s performance, but from a business point of view.

His words, “We immediately jumped into artist mode,”

“I’m really just looking at the show. The mics start. Was it too low to start?…”

He added that there was no way Blue Ivy could’ve been involved in any protest because their 8-year-old would never have been able to play it cool on camera.
