In the 31st minute, Jesse Lingard added to United’s injury woes and was replaced in the Andreas Pereira.
Ex-United striker Joshua King doubled Bournemouth lead when he struck with nine minutes into the second half.
The win now sees Bournemouth leapfrog Chelsea in the 14th position while United remain fourth.
