The attention of the LADO/AKINLADE Campaign Organisation has been drawn to the surreptitious news being paraded claiming the court of appeal has declared Mr Segun Showunmi as the candidate of PDP in Ogun State.
Recall that Mr Segun Showunmi filed a case at the high court in Abeokuta and the case was thrown out at the high court, he proceeded to the appeal court. The court only admitted his appeal, against our lawyer’s plea to throw out the suit like it was done at the high court.
We appeal to our teeming members and supporters not to be misled by some unscrupulous elements within the party.
The court only asked that his dismissed case should be heard. Electoral act is very clear on which court has the jurisdiction to hear electoral case of this type.
We appreciate the people of Ogun State for rallying behind our candidate Hon Ladi Adebutu and his Deputy Hon Adekunle Akinlade as they continue to consolidate on the consensus already reached by the people to freely give them the mantle of leadership of the state come March 2023.
