After his recent goalscoring strides, Kelechi Iheanacho has disclosed his preparedness for the 019-20 season with Leicester City.
Kelechi netted with a brace in the Foxes’ 2-2 draw against Rotherham United.
He is beginning to step things up after a poor last season, where he scored only 2 goals in 35 matches across all competitions.
His words, “I think, in every footballer’s life there are all sorts of ups and downs,”
“And I think that is one of those moments for me. I think that will make me work hard and push for the best to come.”
Kelechi Iheanacho said his coach has been inspirational in his quest to boost his confidence.
He said, “When a manager says something like that to you as a player, it gives you a lot of confidence,”
“For me, I am happy and I am ready to give my best this season.
“Everyone is pushing to get in the squad because we have a good squad, good players and everyone is working hard to get in the team.
“This season I have moved on. I am getting my confidence back, the staff are really good people, the manager is brilliant, so I think we will see how it goes this season.”
