A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has credited former President Muhammadu Buhari with laying a solid foundation for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Igbokwe urged Nigerians to disregard claims that Buhari was a failure, stating that the former president’s achievements are evident.
In a post on his Facebook page, Igbokwe wrote: “Let nobody living or dead run away with the thinking that PMB is a failure.

Perish the thought. He laid the solid foundation for PBAT to build on. We are seeing the footprints and the gains today.”
Igbokwe’s remarks come amid criticism of Buhari’s leadership by some political figures, including Babafemi Ojudu, a former Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Ojudu recently described Buhari as lacking vision, a factor he claimed influenced the former president’s decision not to back former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential bid.
Despite his criticism, Ojudu acknowledged Buhari’s patriotism and incorruptibility, highlighting his commitment to Nigeria’s unity and governance.
The contrasting views reflect ongoing debates about Buhari’s legacy and its impact on the current administration led by Tinubu.
