Senate President Bukola Saraki has picked up the Peoples Democratic Party nomination form, 24 hours after declaring his intention at the Sheraton hotel in Abuja.
The form pick up was announced by Olu Onemola, special assistant on new media to the senate president, in a tweet on Friday, August 30, 2018.
“This afternoon, the Director-General of the Saraki Presidential Campaign Organization, Hon. Mohammed Wakil, obtained the Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms from the PDP Headquarters on behalf of Presidential Aspirant, Sen. (Dr.) Abubakar Bukola Saraki,” he tweeted.
He was was a two-term governor of Kwara State between 2003 and 2011 and joined the Senate as the representative of the Kwara Central Senatorial district in 2011 before he was elected Senate President in 2015.
