Cairo, 3 May 2015. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Qatari Football Association (QFA) will sign a cooperation agreement on Wednesday 6 May, 2015. The signing ceremony is scheduled for 15:30hours local time, 13:30GMT, at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
This agreement will run for an initial period of five years and can be renewed. It will regulate the two organizations’ collaboration and cooperation, whose focus will include exchanges of experiences and capacity building of their respective affiliates in areas as varied as: sports medicine, refereeing, administration, development, training, management, infrastructure, women’s football and futsal.
The new cooperation agreement with the Qatari Federation, which is added to existing partnerships linking CAF with FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF and the English Football Association, is another milestone by Africa’s continental governing body aimed at fostering overall football development strategies for Africa.
