Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to raid his former club and take Brazilian flop Fabio to Cardiff City.
.
According to the Daily Mail, the new Cardiff boss is keen to bolster his full-back department and feels Fabio could help him keep the Bluebirds up this season.
.
The former Fluminense youngster, who joined Manchester United with his twin brother Rafael in 2008, looks set to leave Old Trafford without making any real impact in six years at the Premier League champions.
.
Solskjaer is famous for being Sir Alex Ferguson’s ‘Supersub’ for a number of years, most notably for scoring the winner in the historic night at Camp Nou in 1999 when Manchester United came form behind in injury time to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final and complete the treble.
.
He was an Under-21 coach at United before taking a job in his native Norway with Molde, where he won the Norwegian Premier League twice and the Norwegian Cup, and worked with Fabio.
.
The 23-year-old left-back’s contract with the Red Devila expires at the end of the season and the report claims manager David Moyes has decided he won’t get any further chances to prove himself.
.
Fabio has made only one Premier League appearance this season and his previous appearance was as a substitute in the damaging FA Cup third round defeat to Swansea City last weekend, where he was sent off just four minutes after coming on.
