The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Rev. David Ajang, has urged the Federal Government to urgently tackle hunger and security challenges facing the nation.
The Bishop made this call during a Thanksgiving Mass organized by Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Doma, on Sunday.
Bishop Ajang emphasized that addressing insecurity and hunger would not only promote peace but also significantly improve the living standards of Nigerians.

He highlighted the critical nature of the current situation, stating that security and hunger are major issues that require immediate attention. He called for action to be taken promptly.
Quoting various verses from the Bible, the bishop called on Christians and Nigerians in general to shun evil and strive to inherit God’s kingdom.
Bishop Ajang also encouraged Nigerians to use their talents to promote peace and development in the nation.
Addressing the issue of cybercrime, Bishop Ajang admonished Nigerians, especially the youth, to desist from all forms of crime, emphasizing the need for a better society.
The Bishop noted the alarming trend where some individuals are openly engaging in cybercrime, urging young people to choose a path of righteousness.
The bishop also emphasized the importance of showing gratitude to God regularly, as it attracts divine favor and blessings.
He assured the deputy governor of his support and prayers for God’s guidance as he assists his principal in running the affairs of the state.
