In recognition of his immense contribution to the spirtuality and growth of the body of Christ, the Ipokia Province Headquarter of the Celestial Church of Christ, Idopetu, Ogun State, installed Sp/Ven/M/S/Evang Oladipupo Adebutu as the Asiwaju Celestial of Ipokialand while his wife, Mother Celestial Adenike Adebutu, became the Mama Ijo Gbogbo Celestial of Ipokialand.
The occasion took place at Celestial Church of Christ Auditorium, Idopetu, on Sunday, December 17, 2017.
Speaking on behalf of Hon Ladi, Special Venerable Adegbenga Sopelola, who represented him at the event, said that Hon Ladi considered the spread of the gospel of Christ as very paramount as such was always ready to do anything to the glory of God. He enjoined the worshippers to always hold on to God and never waiver in all circumstances. Emphasising the importance of civic responsibility, Sopelola enjoined the celestial faithfuls and guests to register with INEC to enable them perform their civic right at the appropriate moment.
Mother Celestial Adenike Adebutu, on her own part, expressed gratitude for the honour done to her and her family. While encouraging the youth to face their studies squarely, she admonished the parents to ensure they gave their children quality education since that was the only legacy they could bequeath to them. She added that children were God’s gifts, as such, they should be trained in the way of God.
The honorary ceremony was part of the activities marking the 29th harvest and thanskgiving ceremony of the church. Prophet Oluwasegun Alomanoaboe is the Ipokia Province Superintendent Head.
