Famous Nigerian actor, Fashola Funsho Ogunremi, popularly known as Inspector Skede is dead.

Barely five weeks after the death of veteran Yoruba actor Ajigijaga, Skede joined him. Skede is a well known for playing the role of a police officer thus the stage name Inspector Skede.

When Naij.com called his direct line one of his daughters picked the call and confirmed that her dad Inspector Skede died in his sleep early this morning.

Skede was said to have been battling with two deadly diseases, congestive cardiac failure and diabetics both ailment were said to have left a big hole in his pocket.

The ailments which later claimed his life was said to have manifested in him since 2011 and he was alleged to have resulted to self-medication when he could not afford hospital bills. He said to have been rushed to a hospital in 2014 when he collapsed; it was at the hospital that he was diagnosed of suffering from, congestive cardiac failure and diabetics.

Before his death, attempts were made his colleagues in Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood to raise N2.5m for him to get appropriate medical care.

Inspector Skede was said to have given up the ghost in the wee hours of today at his house, 4, Wey Street, Mushin, Lagos.

Inspector Skede who was also a producer produced thriller movies like Orun, Ole Afajo, Oja Warawara and Finuja and others.

Veteran actor Mufutau Sanni popularly known as Ajigijaga died at the age of 60 on July 31 after sustaining injuries from an okada accident.
