Presented by Derek Gascon, CGOC executive director, and Jake Frazier, CGOC faculty member, the webinar will present highlights and discussion of the CGOC Summit 2014 sessions. Designed for data compliance and governance executives, CGOC Summit 2014 featured compliance and governance experts and thought leaders from Morgan Stanley, Comerica, Xerox, UBS, Deloitte and many more, as well as the Hon. Conference sessions focused on the real-world experience of implementing an information governance program and the need to take a pragmatic approach. Topics also included the challenges to information governance caused by emerging technology initiatives such as Big Data, cloud, bring-your-own-device (BYOD) and social media. Speakers addressed key practical issues, such as methods to ensure the cost of capturing and storing information never exceeds the value it provides to a business and how to address and clean legacy data and classify it for retention, archival and disposition.
“CGOC Summit 2014 was a huge success, providing great insights into how information governance leaders can put their existing information to work to solve today’s complex information governance challenges,” said Derek Gascon, CGOC executive director. “Our June 5th webcast is an excellent opportunity for those who couldn’t attend the conference to hear practical advice from leading practitioners actively working on information governance programs at some of the best-known companies in the world.”
