Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to say that he is not bothered about his team facing Chelsea shortly after their emotional Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund.
He recently revealed that it is better to play against the Blues after a victory than after a defeat.
According to him, even if he would’ve loved more days to enjoy the UCL achievement and recover, the schedule cannot be changed.
He added that Chelsea is currently one of the best teams in Europe, so his players must be ready.
His words, “It is much, much, much easier – imagine playing that game after not qualifying for the Champions League semi-finals, it would be tougher,”
“I would love to have more days to enjoy our qualification, recover better for the game, but the schedule is the schedule and when you are a contender in all the competitions you have this schedule.”
“The guys are training well and tomorrow they are going to face one of the best teams in Europe and try to do a good performance to reach the final.”
