Montpellier president, Laurent Nicollin has come out to urge Chelsea to improve their offer for club striker, Elye Wahi. He recently had his say as Tottenham and Benfica join the race, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, there have been new verbal proposals for Elye Wahi in recent weeks, but Chelsea remains the only club to present an official offer for the forward.

Laurent added that all offers will have to be improved to be considered because the club is not even in a hurry to sell.
His words, “There are proposals but we are waiting for more proposals for Elye Wahi. It’s true that we have only had one official offer for the moment, from Chelsea, Monday or last Tuesday. We replied that we thanked them but that it was not a proposal that corresponded to us, so we are waiting.”
“This weekend, I had the head of recruiting from Tottenham, who is interested, but he had other things last weekend, so I think it will start to move. There is [Eintracht] Frankfurt. It is true that I think that the game of musical chairs will automatically change if [Randal] Kolo Muani leaves Frankfurt, if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham.”
“We also learned on Wednesday that Benfica was also interested because there is one of their center forward who is likely to leave. So here we go, we are not in a hurry. He expressed the desire to leave. We reached an agreement with his agents so we are working hand in hand for a possible departure.”
