Chelsea legend Ruud Gullit has said that the Blues are slowly falling off like Tottenham. He recently revealed that the club could find itself on the same slippery slope if the owners don’t sit up, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even though he hopes that fate can be avoided, the lack of clarity as far as Chelsea‘s philosophy is concerned is a recipe for disaster.

Emphasizing how Paris Saint-Germain needs to be used as a source of inspiration, Ruud added that a perfect blend of experience and youth is needed at Stamford Bridge.
His words, “I hope not. Look, I want Chelsea to be successful. The only thing is, I’ve said it for a couple of years now – I don’t really understand what their philosophy is.
And what I’m explaining is what I see, not information I have from the inside. Maybe the owners need to come out and explain it. But the fans want trophies. They won’t accept anything less.
Look at Paris Saint-Germain – they have young players, but they also have players with a lot of experience. Those experienced players tell the young ones what to do, and that’s how they flourish. And when they get older, they’ll teach the next group of youngsters.
That’s what Moises Caicedo needs – someone like Casemiro next to him to guide him. To say, ‘Hey, calm down. Do it this way’. And that happens in training sessions.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
