Chelsea defender, Ben Chilwell has come out to say that his side played really well vs Brentford. He recently revealed this after rescuing a point in their 2-2 draw, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the players definitely got into a lot of good positions and Brentford’s threats were neutralized for most parts of the game, so it was a positive performance.

Chilwell added that he believes a draw was a fair result even if Chelsea could have won the game.
His words, “We could have won the game but overall, I think a draw was probably a fair result in the end if I’m being totally honest. It was a topsy-turvy game and first half, I thought we played really well. Obviously we got the goal, got into a lot of good positions and really neutralised their threats. They were trying to be physical as possible but we coped with that well. In the second half, they really came at us and threw themselves onto us. We didn’t deal with that well enough and they got the two goals to go in front. We got back on level terms and came away with a result but I think we could have contained them better in the second half. We had chances to go on and win but like I said earlier, I think a draw was probably fair.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
