In a recent development, Chief Kamorudeen Ajisafe has been elected as the National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ajisafe hails from Osun State and has emerged as a key figure in the party’s leadership.
The election took place during a significant gathering of the party’s leaders in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, on Thursday.
The meeting witnessed the presence of notable figures within the PDP, including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his counterpart from Osun State, Ademola Adeleke.

Among the dignitaries present were former governors of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State.
The event also saw the participation of Hon Ladi Adebutu, the party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Ogun State.
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, and the acting chairman of the South-West PDP, Chief Rahman Owokoniran, were also in attendance, marking the significance of the gathering in shaping the party’s future direction.
