The pivotal role of drivers within Bolt Nigeria’s operations was highlighted by Yahaya Mohammed, the Country Manager. This acknowledgment came during the inauguration of a groundbreaking driver engagement hub located in Lagos. The primary purpose of this hub is to enhance the experience of driver-partners while operating within the company’s service area.
In a statement provided to The PUNCH on Monday, Mohammed emphasized the vital contribution of drivers to the company’s success. He stated, “Drivers are at the core of our business, and we want to see them succeed and grow their earnings. We also understand that every moment matters, and we’re always looking for ways to optimize the experience of existing and new driver-partners to get the most out of their time on the road.”
This driver engagement hub is expected to significantly enhance the quality of service experienced by Bolt drivers. It will serve as a multifaceted support center, providing benefits such as improved driver support, effective communication channels, training opportunities, community building, issue resolution, driver appreciation, positive branding, and expedited onboarding for new driver-partners, enabling them to hit the road within as little as an hour or two.

Moreover, the hub will also function as a Lost and Found center, allowing passengers to retrieve items they may have left behind in Bolt vehicles during their rides.
Yahaya Mohammed elaborated on the company’s commitment to enhancing driver support, stating, “This is part of our long-standing commitment to invest in our operations to provide better support to our driver-partners and ensure that they continue to thrive. Drivers are at the core of our business, and we want to see them succeed and grow their earnings. We also understand that every moment matters, and we’re always looking for ways to optimize the experience of existing and new driver-partners to get the most out of their time on the road.”
While Bolt has maintained a driver hub in Lagos since 2017, the decision to establish this new, more functional, modern, and technologically advanced support center reflects the company’s dedication to offering real-time, on-site support to its growing and vibrant driver community. Yahaya Mohammed affirmed the company’s commitment to the drivers and the importance of their continued success within the Bolt ecosystem.
In conclusion, Bolt Nigeria is taking significant strides to empower its drivers by providing them with a dedicated support center. This hub not only aims to enhance the quality of service and support available to drivers but also underlines Bolt’s commitment to its driver community’s success and growth. With its multifaceted approach, this driver engagement hub seeks to address the various needs and concerns of both existing and new driver-partners, reinforcing Bolt’s position as a key player in the ride-hailing industry.
