A Magistrate’s Court in Noman’s Land, Kano, presided over by Magistrate Hauwa Abdulkadir, has remanded several suspects to a reform facility over charges of conspiracy and murder.
The accused are alleged to have been involved in the brutal killing of a teacher, whose eyes were gouged out and body mutilated after his death.
According to the police charge sheet, the incident occurred in Center Abuja village, located in the Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State.

The prosecution alleged that on April 22, 2025, the suspects colluded, abducted the victim, and subsequently executed him in a gruesome manner, removing his eyes and other body parts.
It was further alleged that the group raised ₦800,000 to hire youths who carried out the murder.
The prosecuting counsel, Barrister Salma Garba, requested an adjournment to enable the continuation of the case.
Magistrate Abdulkadir adjourned the trial to November 13, 2025, for further submissions and defense arguments.
