    COVID-19 in Nigeria: 221 New Cases, 56,956 Total Cases and 1094 Total Deaths as of 18th September 2020

    Two hundred and twenty-one (221) new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were confirmed and reported in Nigeria within the last 24 hours. This was contained in the COVID-19 update provided by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

    The new cases reported are as follows:

    Lagos: 59
    Abia: 46
    FCT Abuja: 22
    Gombe: 20
    Plateau: 17
    Rivers: 11
    Bauchi: 7
    Benue: 6
    Ekiti: 6
    Imo: 6
    Kaduna: 4
    Kwara: 4
    Ondo: 4
    Ogun: 3
    Osun: 3
    Bayelsa: 1
    Edo: 1
    Kano: 1

    Currently, there are 56,956 confirmed cases in Nigeria with 1094 deaths. However, 48,305 people have so far recovered and been discharged.
