Striker Geoffrey Massa ‘s solitary strike in the 12th minute helped Uganda progress to the next stage of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2015 qualifiers at the expense of Madagascar.
The South Africa-based striker rose above his marker to head home, Emmanuel Okwi’s well weighted cross from the right to earn them a lone goal victory and advance on the away goal rule after a 2-2 tie.
The Cranes dominated the opening minutes and ensured it reflected on the score cards with Massa heading home the match winner on 12 minutes.
Uganda will face either Equatorial Guinea or Mauritania at the next round of the qualifiers.
