Reports in England have linked Steven Pienaar with a move to the Spanish La Liga to join former boss David Moyes at Real Sociedad.

Pienaar is know to be a favourite of Moyes for his high work-rate and ability on the ball, and according to the Express, Everton are open to offers for the 32-year-old, with a move to Spain on the cards.

Everton are looking to being in Joel Campbell from Arsenal and if they get their man it would mean they are well-stocked on players who can feature on the left and Pienaar would be able to leave.

Pienaar is in his fourth spell at Everton having first joined the club in 2007 but injuries mean he has not been as influential as previous seasons.

He is now considered among the second-string players at the club and captained a team of youngsters in their final Uefa Europa League pool match against Russian side Krasnador earlier this month.

He has otherwise had to settle for a place on the bench, making cameo roles where his effectiveness has been limited.
