Ex Spain manager, Vicente del Bosque has come out to say that the country doesn’t have goalkeeping concerns ahead of this summer’s European Championships. He recently revealed that the national team has nothing to worry about when it comes to David de Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga’s form ahead of the tournament.
According to him, both goalies are very good, and their position should not be of utmost concern for Spain compared to other key positions.
He added that coach Luis Enrique should expect to have selection problems ahead of the tournament because the nation is blessed with talents.
His words, “We have good goalkeepers, young people. They are adapting well.”
“The goalkeeper is one of the positions that has evolved the most. Now we play more with our feet. We can be calm. We have very good goalkeepers. That won’t be the biggest problem.”
On selections, “It is normal that Luis Enrique has already fixed his numbers,”
“It is likely that he still has a couple of pending decisions. A list of 30 will always see that.”
“The bad thing is that later he will have to eliminate some of those who have participated in the qualifiers. They are the decisions a coach must make.”
