Delta Police Arrest Man, Second Wife Over Death of Three Sisters in DSC Township

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a man and his second wife in connection with the mysterious death of three sisters at the Delta Steel Company (DSC) Township, Oruhworun, Udu Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased, daughters of the man from his previous marriage, were reportedly visiting their father’s residence when the tragic incident occurred.

Sources say the sisters, who lived separately from their father following the death of their mother less than a year ago, had returned from a birthday party the previous evening and were later found foaming at the mouth.

The incident has thrown the DSC community into mourning and suspicion, particularly given the history between the stepmother and their late mother, who were reportedly close friends before the remarriage.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Delta State, DSP Bright Edafe, said investigations were ongoing and all possible angles were being explored.

“We are treating this as a suspicious death and are exploring all angles. The public will be updated as we make progress,” he stated.

Two Arrested Over Alleged Killing of Engineer in Akwukwu-Igbo

In a related development, police have arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged murder of an unidentified engineer in Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident, which reportedly took place in December 2024, only came to light recently following the arrest of the suspects, identified as Tiv youths from Benue State.

The engineer was said to have been contracted to construct office buildings in the area before he was allegedly killed and buried in a shallow grave on a farm.

Community sources disclosed that the body of the deceased has since been exhumed.

Speaking on the matter, DSP Edafe confirmed the arrests, saying, “We are aware of the incident and our men are working to ensure others involved are apprehended.”
