Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has come out to speak about the club’s reported interest in Ousmane Dembele. This is coming after the Frenchman was told that he can complete a January transfer away from Barcelona.
According to Tuchel, Dembele is a very good player he was fortunate to work with when he was in Germany, but they are not in close contact right now.
Thomas added he has no idea why the forward is presently in the mess at Barcelona, but he can only wish him all the best.
His words, He’s a very good player, and I am very fortunate to have trained him in my time at Dortmund. It was only one year, it should have been longer, but I needed to leave and he decided to leave.
“We are not in close contact, we have met here and there because of his duties for the French national team when I was in Paris. We exchanged some messages.
“I have absolutely no idea why he is in this situation, I don’t know the detail, so it’s better not to talk.”
