Denmark manager, Kasper Hjulmand has come out to say that his boys shouldn’t have restarted the match after Eriksen’s collapse. He recently revealed that playing on the same day definitely affected his players.
According to him, his boys were clearly emotionally exhausted during the game, and he actually regrets the decision to play yesterday.
Kasper, however, added that he is proud of how the world reacted to the unfortunate incident.
His words, “I think it was the wrong decision to make between the two scenarios,”
“It was very tough for the players. They didn’t even know if they could probably lose their best friend.”
“I have the feeling that we shouldn’t have played and wrong that the players had to decide. I’m really proud of the way the world reacted to this incident.”
“It’s often about money, but yesterday we saw what football is all about – compassion and love.”
