No, Beyoncé has no announced a new album. At least not yet.
The BeyHive recently called bullsh-t on a leaked tracklist that appeared to announce an upcoming album from the Lemonade singer.
The tracklist popped up Sunday night on Spotify and consisted of 14 tracks with features from Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir, SZA, Rihanna, Normani, and Wizkid.
One Twitter user pointed out that the tracklist artwork was clearly a fake as it used a screenshot from Bey’s “Partition” video, released in 2013.
We should also point out that Beyoncé and Spotify have never had a particularly close relationship. In fact, her latest solo offering Lemonade is still not listed on the site as she’s part owner of Tidal, a streaming service headed by her husband, Jay-Z. So it’s unlikely that the singer would announce a new album on that platform.
ESSENCE reached out to Tidal for comment. Still, Beyoncé’s rep told Refinery 29 that they were “not sure what this is.”
So, while we’re sure Beyoncé will be cooking up something soon, it doesn’t look like this recently leaked tracklist has anything to do with the singer.
