Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT. Hon. Yakubu Dogara got to the Speaker’s seat by divine providence and not by the goodwill of some of his co-lawmakers in the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was not the choice of his party, which presented Femi Gbajabiamila as its candidate. However, he has assured members of the Green chamber that he will not lead a divided house.
Dogara like other leaders in the current dispensation has found Twitter an important tool to connect to the people they are leading. He wrote on the microblogging site of his plans going forward.
“I will not discriminate betwen those who voted for me and those who did not.
“Time of bickering is over. We must hit the ground running. Nigerians wont take any further excuses,” he wrote.
“We must work together to protect the institution that our forefathers have built.”
I will look forward for your counsels because in the multitude of counsellors there is safety my doors are always open for all my colleagues

The Speaker is just one among equals. I dont hold any opinion other than what is right and what is truth.
