The draws for the 19th edition of the Orange CAF Champions League 2015 and the 12th Orange CAF Confederation Cup were made Monday morning at CAF headquarters in Cairo. A total of 58 clubs entered the Champions League draw with 56 in the Confederations Cup.
The two continental club championships get underway with preliminary round fixtures on the weekend of 13, 14, 15 February with second leg games scheduled for 27, 28 February and 1st March 2015.
Matches for the 1/16 round will be played 13, 14, 15 March with second leg games on 03, 04, 05 April with the round of 1/8 games to decide who gets into the group stages set for 17, 18, 19 April for first leg games and second leg games on 01, 02, 03 May 2015.
For the CAF Confederation Cup’s second 1/8 round, first leg fixtures will be on 15, 16, 17 May with second leg matches on 05, 06, 07 June 2015.
In the CAF Champions League, holders ES Setif were exempted from the preliminary round together with Coton Sport, AC Leopards, Al Ahly, TP Mazembe and Tunisian sides CSS and EST. exempted from the preliminary round of the CAF ConfederationCup were Asec Mimoas, Zamalek, Djoliba, 2014 Champions League finalists AS Vita, Orlando Pirates, Ahli Shendi and Tunisian sides Club Africain and ESS.
