The Department of State Services (DSS) has sealed off the Al-Ihsan clinic in Ungwan Rogo community, Jos North local government area of Plateau State, following allegations of quackery and the reported death of a patient who received treatment at the clinic.
According to Daily Trust, the action was taken by the secret police on Sunday, prompted by the death of a woman in the clinic last week after a surgery reportedly performed by one Mr. Lukuma Abdul.
Abdul denied the accusation, stating that the surgery did not lead to her death.

The incident has sparked reactions, with many attributing the death to the surgery and raising concerns about Abdul’s medical qualifications.
A complaint filed by some members of the community to the state ministry of health over alleged quackery at the clinic led to the DSS’s intervention.
Sadis Muhammad Albasu, a community member, expressed, “The primary reason for sealing the hospital is the alleged quackery activities at the clinic, which came to light after a woman’s death following a surgical procedure there.”
Albasu further stated, “The issue is that Mr. Lukman is not a qualified medical doctor; in fact, he is not a doctor at all, and therefore lacks the necessary qualifications to perform surgical procedures.
A lot of people are complaining, and that was why the matter was reported to the state ministry of health for necessary actions.
He is not a doctor. He is currently schooling but he has been carrying out surgery on people in the community.”
