Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to say that Ederson stayed at the club because no club met their asking price for him. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if Ederson already knew he never wanted him to leave the club, the only reason he stayed in the end was because no tangible offer worth considering came in.

Pep added that Ederson is the goalkeeper for a team who has won 4 EPL titles in a row, so he can’t go for cheap.
His words, “He [Ederson] knew from day one I didn’t want it, we didn’t want it but the truth, I’m going to tell the truth, the offer didn’t come. The real offer, because they make an offer, but to be for the keeper, for the team who won four Premier Leagues in a row, they have a value, you know, have a price. Otherwise, he cannot leave. This is the truth.”
