Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 22 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation conducted in Abia State.
The EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
According to Oyewale, the suspects were arrested on Friday at locations in Umuagu and Olokoro.

Items recovered during the operation included six exotic cars, eight laptops, and 36 mobile phones.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale stated.
The EFCC reaffirmed its commitment to combating cybercrime and other forms of financial fraud in the country.
