The royal fathers declared their support for the governor and promised to continue to pray for him till economy of the state improves.
The Governor had called all traditional rulers in the state together to intimate them on the financial situation of the state vis a vis the February 2015 allocations.
He said, the total sum of 1.7 billion naira came as Federal allocation, IGR for the month of February was 317million naira while the total sum saved for the month was 71million naira, making the total revenue that accrue to the state to be the sum of 2.790 billion naira.
Workers salaries according to him gulped the sum of 2.6 billion while subventions to institutions was about 726 million. Pension was put at 243 million, leaving the state with 440,000 after security, Corps members, Judiciary and other have been considered.

He said he had made the workers salary very compulsory in order to ensure that people do not suffer, saying some neighboring states are owing up to 5 months salaries, saying he was not in a hurry to embark on capital projects at the welfare of the masses.
He noted he had called several Unions in the State to explain situation of things to them, saying he had not owed any worker since he came on board and was prepared to offset arrears owed by past administration with improvement in the economy.
The State helmsman said efforts will be made to improve the current situation, noting that efforts to get money from banks to pay some of the outstanding emoluments has been difficult has the state has no liquidity any longer for loan.
In their response, the Alare of Are Ekiti, Oba Boluwade Adebiyi and Elekole of Ikole, Oba Fasiku Ajibade agreed with the governor on the necessity to pay workers first, assuring the governor of their prayers for improvement in the State’s economy.
The Onigbemo, Oba Adewunmi Daramola advised the governor to carry on with his welfare programmes without listening to hear say while the Eleda, Oba Adeniran Benjamin encouraged the governor to devise more strategies with which the state will get out of the financial quagmire.
Other royal fathers to include Onimojo, Oba Olatunji, Olupoti, Oba Oladipupo Kolade, Owatapa, Oba David Ajaja and Alamo of Ilamo, Oba Adebayo Awoseyila among others pledged their support and prayers for the governor, calling on him to continue to sensitize people on the financial situation to avoid misinformation of the populace.
