Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike was impressive for Fenerbahce in a pre-season game, netting a brace in their 2-1 win over Panathiniakos.
In the 2-1 win over Panathiniakos on Wednesday, July 13, Emenike netted in the third minute, before he got the match winner in the second half of this friendly.
This is the striker’s third goal for the Turkey club since returning for pre-season training a fortnight ago.
The 29-year-old could yet play himself into the first team ahead of next season after spending the whole of last season away on loan.
Emenike left the Turkish side at the beginning of last season on a loan deal at Al Ain in Dubai.
He cut the loan deal to join West Ham in January but has now returned to his parent club.
The 29-year-old was signed by West Ham to bolster their striking options but could only manage two goals during his stay in England.
He is reported to be on the verge of a return to Turkish side Kardemir Karabukspor, his first club in Europe but with the likes of Robin Van Persie set to be offloaded by Fenerbahce, Emenike could get a place in the team ahead of next season.
