Everton manager, Rafael Benitez has come out to say that he doesn’t see the club signing Serge Aurier. He recently revealed that he doesn’t see any clear option to make such a transfer happen.
According to him, the Toffees simply need to think about the future, and not just the short term, as far as the right-back position is concerned.
Benitez added that Everton is focusing on finding a defensive solution that will last the entire season.
His words, “I don’t see a clear option with that. We have to think about the future and not just the short term.”
“Now we have to find the solutions but we have to be sure the solutions aren’t just for a couple of months, just the rest of the season and the next year.”
