Everton have set their asking price for striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees have placed a world-record £100million fee on the Belgium international.
Lukaku, 23, is wanted by former club Chelsea, as well as Manchester United, and some other big clubs around Europe including Bayern Munich.
But Everton have made it clear that they want to keep hold of this season’s Premier League leading scorer even though he is yet to sign a new contract.
It is understood that Lukaku wants to leave Goodison Park this summer and join a Champions League club but the Toffees will make a move difficult by slapping such a massive transfer fee on his head.
Lukaku has reportedly told manager Ronald Koeman he does not want to sign a two deal but was swiftly told by the Dutchman that he must respect the final two years of his contract.
It appears as though Everton are going to play hardball on this ongoing transfer speculation.
