INEC just revealed that every single member of the NYSC that partakes in Saturday’s election as ad-hoc staff would be receiving N30,500.

After postponement, corps members who were enrolled to help INEC in the election as ad-hoc staff were pictured in unpleasant situations.
Among the several complains from Nigerians after the sad pictures was the welfare and allowances for NYSC members participating in the election.
However, INEC, while refuting all allegations regarding poor settlement for the Corps members has now said several allowances would be paid get to them as promised.
Mahmood Yakubu said, “For deployment on election duty, they are entitled to transport, feeding and an honorarium of N9, 000 and N4, 000 making it N13, 000 each. For the presidential election, N17, 500 is expected to be paid separately to each member. Since no training will be conducted for the second election, he said that each corps member will receive N13, 000, making a total of N30, 500. That is the Standard allowance for corps members.”
