The final season of “Game of Thrones” may not yet have an official return date, but there’s an update from HBO on the eighth and final season of the show.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said the eighth and final season of the show will return in the first half of 2019.
This is probably a hint that “Game of Thrones,” which premiered its first six seasons each in March or April [the seventh season premiered in July] is set to return to its original schedule.
In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Turner destroyed any hope fans had for a diplomatic and less violent finale
“I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people,” Turner told Gold Derby.
“Everyone is coming together to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right. It’s Game of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before.”
