After much delay, the winners from Sunday’s Nigerian Entertainment Award ceremony have been announced.
Winning the category of ‘Best Lead Actress In a Film’ at the 2016 NEAs is Fathia Balogun-Williams, who beat off competition from fellow Nollywood actresses, Omoni Oboli, Adesua Etomi, Genevieve Nnaji, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Belinda Effah.
Faithia was recognised for her role in the 2015 movie, Ishanna.
The 47-year-old actress said of her win, ‘I am honoured to have this recognition bestowed on me at this level. We put a lot of effort into the project, and everyone is deserving of this award.’
The award ceremony was plagued by celebs’ absence and delayed start of the show.
