Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has commented on President Bola Tinubu’s most recent success.
The United Arab Emirates said on Monday that Tinubu and President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had reached a historic accord in Abu Dhabi, ending the country’s visa ban on Nigerian citizens.
Fayose thought it was a wonderful turn of events.
X “Resolution of the diplomatic row between Nigeria and the UAE is no doubt heart-warming,” he wrote.
Fayose pointed out that many Nigerians whose businesses are related to the UAE are unhappy with the decision to allow a diplomatic row that culminated in the installation of a visa block on Nigerians and the suspension of flights to Nigeria by Emirates, since October 2022.
In light of this, he stated, “President Tinubu has come to renew the hopes of Nigerians” because he has broken a diplomatic impasse in a single trip to the United Arab Emirates.
