The Federal Government will on Friday arraign 130 suspects, including 113 foreign nationals, mostly of Chinese and Malaysian origin, alongside 17 Nigerian collaborators, over alleged involvement in high-level cybercrimes, hacking, and activities threatening national security.
The suspects were apprehended during a coordinated raid conducted by the Nigeria Police Force Zone 7 Command, Abuja, in collaboration with the National Cyber Crime Centre (NPF-NCCC).
The operation took place on Saturday, November 3, 2024, at a building in the Next Cash and Carry area of Jahi, Abuja.
According to sources, the suspects were found using computers and other sophisticated devices to facilitate criminal activities.
The suspects are scheduled to be arraigned before Justice Ekerete Akpan of the Federal High Court, where they will face charges related to cybercrimes and national security violations.
This development underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and protect Nigeria’s digital and national security infrastructure.
