The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has named a shortlist of five coaches for the vacant position of national team coach.
The five made the cut from the initial list of 37 applicants after a scrutiny of the applications by the Technical Committee for the recruitment of a national coach established by the Executive Committee of FIF.
The shortlisted coaches are Francis Gillot (France), Frédéric Antonetti (France), Hervé Renard (France), Jose Manuel De Jesus (Portugal) and Luis Fernandez (France).
The Elephants job was left vacant following the resignation of Frenchman Sabri Lamouchi, after the Ivorians abortive campaign at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where they failed to go beyond the group stage.
The FIF Executive Committee is expected to meet and decide on the best choice for the national team job.
