Flight operations have again resumed at the Kaduna International Airport, Kaduna State even as aviation authorities have commenced investigations into the cause of fire outbreak at the airport.
Flight operations was suspended on Sunday following a fire incident that gutted the airport’s control tower.
It was learnt that aviation officials were seen at the airport yesterday examining the rubble left behind in the wake of the incident.
Although the officials refused to divulge any information on the level of damage because a report to that effect would be made public in due course, an airport source, who preferred anonymity, said the airport’s authority have already started probing the immediate and remote cause of the fire incident.
The source also informed that normal flight operations have resumed at the airport as a result of a makeshift arrangement by aviation authorities that includes bringing in a mobile tower from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
