Chelsea forward João Pedro has said that he felt sorry for scoring a brace against his former club, Fluminense. Recall that Pedro kept his celebrations to a minimum after scoring twice to send Chelsea into the Club World Cup final.
Speaking after the clash at MetLife Stadium, the striker hailed the Brazilian club for giving everything to him while he played for them.

According to him, he is the footballer he is today because of Fluminense, so he had to keep it professional and respectful after scoring both goals.
“They [Fluminense] gave everything to me. They showed me to the world. If I’m here, it’s because they believed in me. I’m very grateful but this is football — I have to be professional. I feel sorry for them, but I have to do my job,” he said.
The former Brighton forward made his debut for Chelsea in their 2-1 quarterfinal win over Palmeiras on Friday with only a couple of training sessions under his belt, and four days later, he played his way into the starting lineup.
He manintained that depite his personal success in the game, he was more pleased with the general team performance.
Pedro concluded by saying that he only scored his goals because the manager trusted him enough to start the match.
“Today, I think because I started, I had more time to do my stuff and I had to score. The team won, the team played well and that’s important,” he added.
