Abuja (Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the deployment of Danjuma Napon Sheni to succeed Martin Uhomoibhi (Dr), who retired from service on November 3, 2014 as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The report from the Publicity Department of the Ministry on Thursday November 20, 2014 said that Danjuma Napon Sheni, who hails from Plateau State is a graduate of the University of Benin, Ife and Abuja where he obtained the Bachelor of Arts in English and Literary Studies; Master of Science in International Relations and Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
“He is a career Diplomat who has served the nation in various capacities in missions abroad and at home. He has served in Washington DC, New York, USA, Brussels and Belgium. Danjuma Napon Sheni was also the Acting High Commissioner to Accra, Ghana and Singapore. He was Consul – General of the Nigerian Consulate in Hong Kong,” the report said.
“Danjuma Napon Sheni was appointed as Permanent Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, Office of the Secretary to Government of the Federation in August 2014, where he served until his deployment. He has since assumed duty in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is married with children.”
