Former presidential aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Cosmos Ndukwe, has officially resigned from the party.
His resignation was disclosed in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the PDP Item C Ward in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, and copied to the State Chairman and Acting National Chairman of the party.
Ndukwe explained that his decision to resign from the PDP was based on personal reasons and a reflection on his current aspirations.

He stated, “After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that stepping out of PDP is the best course of action for me at this time.”
Expressing his gratitude to the PDP leadership for the opportunities afforded him to serve in different capacities, Ndukwe said, “I want to express my appreciation to you, the ward executive committee, and all members of the PDP Abia State for the support and camaraderie extended to me throughout my association with the party.”
He concluded by affirming his commitment to democratic principles and the progress of Abia State, stating, “While I may be stepping away from my formal role, I remain committed to the principles of democracy and the progress of our great state, Abia.”
