Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Sani Muhammad Takori, representing Bukkuyum/Gummi federal constituency in Zamfara State, has voiced concerns about the potential fallout if Governor Nyesom Wike switches allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Takori cautions that such a move could lead to frustration and humiliation for Wike.
Expressing his views in Gusau, the state capital, Takori pointed to the experience of APC national chairman Abdulahi Adamu, who, upon assuming office, faced challenges from influential forces.

Takori suggests that with 27 Rivers State lawmakers, known to be loyal to Wike, already defecting to the APC, signs point to Wike’s possible defection as well. However, Takori warns of regret awaiting Wike if he makes such a decision.
Takori emphasized that Wike might face isolation if the 27 lawmakers later reject political godfatherism, leaving him without a solid support base.
He lamented the heightened political tension created by Wike in Rivers State.
While acknowledging the APC’s attempts to woo Wike, promising him a leadership role in the state, Takori predicts that defecting to the APC could bring unfavorable consequences for the governor.
He suggests that in the APC, Wike would encounter individuals of similar stature but with diverse and challenging characters.
Ultimately, Takori advises Governor Wike to maintain his affiliation with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to avoid potential repercussions in the event of a shift to the APC.
