Francis Duru: Viral Funeral Details Are Fake – Family

The family of late Nollywood actor Francis Duru has warned the public against circulating unauthorised funeral flyers. The family recently issued the warning in an official statement shared on the moviestar’s Instagram page on Sunday.

Stressing that the information spreading about his burial arrangements is misleading, they urged Nigerians to disregard flyers containing incorrect details, especially claims about the actor’s state of origin and local government area.

The family added that details about Duru‘s service of songs and night of tributes would only be released through its official social media channels.

It read, “OFFICIAL STATEMENT/DISCLAIMER

Kindly disregard all misleading flyers and incorrect details, including false statements regarding our state of origin and LGA, currently circulating regarding the funeral arrangements for our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Chief Francis Duru.

All official updates, including details for the service of songs/Night of Tributes by various groups, will be communicated exclusively by his family through his official social media channels. We kindly ask the public, friends, and well-wishers to disregard any unauthorized posts or rumors.

We express our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and condolence messages from family, friends, colleagues, fans, and representatives of the federal & State Government during this time.
